Primary responsibility of Hospitality Chair is to ensure that there are adequate refreshments for the branch meetings. This is contingent on the branch needing refreshments at any particular meeting.
The Hospitality Chair is responsible for:
- preparing coffee, tea, wine,(if wanted) and water for members.
- solicits volunteers to bring in “treats” for the members at the meeting: bars, cookies, snack of some kind. This can be done at the membership meetings through announcements and/or sign-up sheets.
- storing of the hospitality bins that hold coffee pot, water pitcher, tea, coffee, table ware, plates, etc. There are about 4-5 bins. At least 2 are brought to each meeting.
Estimated amount of time: Week before call to confirm donations of treats…there are usually 5 donors, 15 minutes of communication each.
At the meeting Chair needs to be there at least one hour before meeting begins to set up, prepare coffee so that it is ready, hot water, etc. Also, after the meeting the Chair is responsible for cleaning, packing and removing. About 30 minutes.
