Out and About was created to provide the following for all interested members:
- Educational opportunities for members to go into the community and learn about local history, proposed and established initiatives, programs, services, exhibits and performances to celebrate and support.
- Coordinated timing of excursions with topics that are presented at monthly branch meetings or highlighted in the media to ensure a greater depth of learning and understanding regarding the topic or issue.
- Informal shared experiences for members in order to meet members, network, and develop working relationship.
Americans in Spain: Painting and Travel 1820-1920, a virtual tour of the Milwaukee Art Museum – September 30, 2021 – Noon
Explore Spanish art and culture through the American art works they inspired. This is a curator-led tour. The exhibitions more than 100 paintings, photographs, and prints are presented chronologically and organized to emphasize migration, tourism, and travel in the nineteenth-century Spain.

Mequon Nature Preserve Tour – Date – October 8th, 10:30 am – 12 pm
In 2011 the City of Mequon leased Mequon Nature Preserve to Mequon Nature Preserve, Inc., a non-profit friends group. It is a charitable organization that provides environmental education and land restoration programs. Park improvements include: hiking, bird watching, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, shelter, outdoor classroom, maple syrup station, Trinity Creek restoration, Educational signage. Christmas Fantasy House – November 2, 2021, 10 am
The cost per person for this event is $20. Your checks must be received no later than Friday, October 28. Proceeds for the Christmas Fantasy House Tour will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin.
