Out & About


Out and About was created to provide the following for all interested members:

  • Educational opportunities for members to go into the community and learn about local history, proposed and established initiatives, programs, services, exhibits and performances to celebrate and support.
  • Coordinated timing of excursions with topics that are presented at monthly branch meetings or highlighted in the media to ensure a greater depth of learning and understanding regarding the topic or issue.
  • Informal shared experiences for members in order to meet members, network, and develop working relationship.


Holiday Porch Workshop At Shady Lane                                                December 1, 2021 – 10 am

Join us at Shady Lane Greenhouse in Menomonee Falls for a Porch Pot workshop.  The cost will be approximately $37.50.  If interested, we can do a group lunch following our workshop.  You will pay Shady Lane, the day of the event.  Please contact Lynn if interested.



Create a Floral Arrangement –  Brookfield Library                                   December 15, 2021 – 10 am

The Milwaukee Art Museum Garden Club has invited us to join them at the Brookfield Library where Nancy Cody will be leading the group to create a floral arrangement with a seasonal woodland theme.

We will be incorporating natural pieces such as cones, seed pods, moss, branches, greens and flowers.  The cost will range from $35 – $38.  Contact Lynn for more details.


Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra                                                                         January 28, 2021 – 6:30 pm

Join us for an exciting night at the Symphony!  6:30 pm there is a Meet the Music – a pre-concert talk and then at 7:30 the Concert:  “ALL THAT JAZZ”.

Cost is $40 which includes center orchestra seats and valet parking.  We will be carpooling.  Watch for Punchbowl invitation and the December Post Graduate Flyer for further information.


UW Milwaukee Manfred Olson Planetarium                                                 February 14, 2022 – 11 am

We will learn about and gaze at the Northern Lights, hear about the secret lives of our planet, and learn about women who played a role in this spectacular area of science.

A punchbowl invitation will be sent to members with information and details regarding this fun and interesting experience to include carpooling, parking, cost and other details.

Please respond early upon receiving the Punchbowl invitation in order to be part of this fun morning!
