The purpose of utilizing Evites for branch activities that include all members is to streamline the process of promoting events and increasing participation.
Skills needed:
- Computer skills to manage the Evite program.
- Communication skills to coordinate and connect with branch leaders, and the ability to work with event leaders.
- Creative ability to develop invitations that are appealing to the recipients.
The current online Evite program is Punchbowl. The Evite Digital Communication coordinator has the following responsibilities:
- Manage the digital Evite account for events that include all branch members.
- Ensure that the Evite program is included in the branch budget and is paid for annually through the budget.
- The current cost for Punchbowl with no advertising is about $90.00.
- The Evite communications coordinator works with the following branch leaders:
- Branch Treasurer—to ensure the digital program is part of the annual budget.
- Post Graduate Editor—to ensure that information between the two communication modes is accurate.
- Out and About Chair, Author’s Tea, and Winter Lunch—to ensure that all branch member events are promoted.
- Monitors the individual events and supports the coordinator of these events with event leaders
- Provides appropriate support to ensure that members in charge have the necessary skills and training to manage their responsibilities effectively for their event.
Approximately 10–13 Evites are sent per year.
