Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with AAUW WSM Treasurer to send funds to schools. Confirm mailing address to send check with each school each year. Treasurer mails the check.
- Connect with representatives from each school to notify them of our scholarship and identify the selected student recipient. Maintain list of school contacts and update as needed.
- Contact each scholarship recipient, obtain a brief biography to add to the Post Grad, invite student to a branch meeting. Coordinate introduction of student at Branch meeting. If college liaison is unable to attend the branch meeting, ensure another AAUW member can be a point of contact and introduce the student. I typically prepare a powerpoint slide with student name/school to have on display during the introduction.
- Invite student scholarship recipients to other AAUW events on a case by case basis (Style Show, Author’s Tea, etc).
- Coordinate annual conference scholarship with selected schools (Formerly NCCWSL, going forward will be coordinated by NASPA)
- Attend Board meetings as able, most important meeting is in the spring when the budget is discussed as this impacts scholarships.
- Maintain scholarship funding to MSOE: we entered a matching program with MSEO, such that our donation is matched 100%. This started in the academic year 2024-2025 and we have committed to donating $2,500 per year for 5 years. It is our obligation to donate at least $2500 yearly for the 5 year period.

- Comfort with email & document formatting (word, pdf, google docs/sheets, etc.)
- Ability to work independently. Self motivated.
- Ability to work with members of the community: college/university representatives, students, etc.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with students and college staff members.
